Privacy Policy

We sell data protection, so it would be strange to write this in the language most companies use to avoid being understood. Here’s what we collect, why, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do about it. If anything is unclear, write to hello@thewayfinderOS.com and we’ll explain it in plainer terms.

This policy covers this website. Client data inside an engagement is governed by your engagement agreement and, where applicable, a data processing agreement. Those are stricter than this, deliberately.

Who we are

Wayfinder Consulting LLC, a New York limited liability company, 1399 Ulster Avenue #1017, Kingston, NY 12401, United States. We’re the controller of the information described below.

What we collect

When you book a call. Your name, email address, company, and your answers to the questions on the booking form. Scheduling runs on Cal.com, so it passes through their systems too.

When you use the contact form. Your name, email address, phone number, and your message.

When you email us. Whatever you put in the email.

When you visit. Aggregate page statistics only, through Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, builds no identifier for you, and doesn’t attempt to recognise you by IP address or browser fingerprint. We can see that a page was read. We can’t see that you were the one who read it. Separately, our web host keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.

What we don’t collect. We don’t buy contact lists. We don’t run advertising pixels. We don’t sell, rent, or share your information for anyone else’s marketing. That isn’t a promise we’re making reluctantly — it isn’t part of how this business works, and we’d have to change what we do to start.

Why we use it

To reply to you. To prepare for and hold the call you booked. To send you one follow-up note afterward with anything useful that came out of the conversation. To keep our own business records. And to understand, in aggregate, which pages people find useful.

We don’t run marketing campaigns and we don’t have a mailing list, so you won’t be added to one.

Who else sees it

Only the services that make the business run, and only for that purpose. The current list:

• Hostinger — website hosting and email, on servers in North America
• Cal.com — scheduling and the booking form
• Cloudflare — aggregate website analytics

That’s it. If that list changes, this page changes with it.

We don’t share your information with anyone else unless you ask us to, or the law requires it.

Do you train AI on this?

No. We don’t train or fine-tune any model on information you send us through this website, and we don’t train models on client data either. It’s used to do the work and nothing else.

Where it goes

We operate from the United States, and this website is hosted on servers in North America. Our other providers process data in the United States and, depending on their own infrastructure, elsewhere. If you contact us from outside the US, your information will be handled in the US.

We don’t currently take clients in the European Union or the United Kingdom. If that changes, this policy will be updated to cover the additional rights and transfer requirements that apply.

How long we keep it

Bookings, enquiries, and correspondence: 24 months from our last contact with you. Server logs: as long as our host retains them for security purposes. Aggregate analytics: indefinitely, because it identifies nobody.

Ask us to delete your information and we will, unless we’re required to keep it.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask for a copy, or tell us to stop contacting you. Write to hello@thewayfinderOS.com and we’ll do it. No form, no process, and no arguing about it.

If you’re in California, you also have the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to request deletion or correction, to request a copy, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We don’t sell or share personal information, so there’s nothing to opt out of, but the right exists and you’re welcome to exercise it. We won’t treat you differently for asking.

Security

We keep what we hold to a minimum, restrict access to the people who need it, and use providers who encrypt data in transit and at rest. No system is beyond compromise and we won’t claim otherwise. If something happened that affected you, we’d tell you.

Children

This site is for businesses. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16, and if we learn we have, we’ll delete it.

Changes

We’ll update the date at the top when this changes. If a change is significant and we have your address, we’ll tell you rather than hoping you re-read the page.
